Peugeot 5008, which DPF fluid?

    Hi all,

My Peugeot 5008 (2010) is complaining that there is no DPF additive left.

The service manual states that you must replace the fluid with the correct one as they cant be mixed.

The RPO number (12174) suggests ELOYS POWERFLEX.

However, the manual also says that the connector colour should be used to confirm this. The connector on the car is white but the manual says it should be green.

There is a green sharpie line across the connector, I wonder is this a sign that the connector and pipe may have been replaced, and the mechanic just marked the connector with a sharpie?

What should I do? I am not paying Peugeot to fill it when it is so easy!

Why don't you buy the fluid from Peugeot? Doesn't it come in a colostomy bag style thing that clips in?

Give them your reg, they give you the correct fluid with the correct fitting.

Eolys Powerflex the one the OP needs, but after the refill the additive counter needs to be reset as well.

Hi guys, thaks for the replies.

I removed the tank, and it has a label on the top saying Eloys Fluid. It's not the colostomy type, but is the rigid type.

I will get a litre of it at the motor factors later on and see how it goes.

I have both Peugeot Planet and the Delphi DS150, I hope that between the two of them I can reset the counter. I have heard that it can be difficult!

I don't think you can reset it if you haven't filled it to maximum.

Maybe that explains why I couldn't trick the car into thinking I had added fluid to stop the annoying alert!

I should probably order 3l of the stuff so :(
