Where you connect your ethernet cable at the back of the unit...at that point can you put an adaptor there ? My reason is ...I want to put an xbox on top of the set top box ..rather than connect it to wifi..I would rather connect it by ethernet ..but with only one ethernet cable there is there a,way round this....either one or the other device will be on independantly...I cant run another cable from router as the one I have is in behind skirting..a link to an appropriate adaptor would be appreciated

You need an Ethernet switch 4 port is probably the smallest you will get. It needs a power socket too.

Here is a cheap 5 port switch. You could always get a Gigabit one for a bit more but there may or may not be any advantage to this depending on your current router.
