Hi,
I am currently in Australia on a subclass 651 visa. I have been a tourist for the last two months.
My company in Ireland has offered me a job for one month, on the condition that I get a subclass 400 visa/valid work visa in Australia.
To apply for a subclass 400, I need to leave the country for ~14 days, it would seem. I already have accommodation in Oz for this period, and for a number of other reasons this doesn't really suit.
Can anyone offer a solution for me in this, would really appreciate it.

My understanding is that the Australians don't do discretion or leeway, so you'll just have to go to NZ or Indonesia.
