Have doors, skirtings & architraves in the kitchen/diner that have been stained with a water based woodstain (pine/antique pine) for about 20yrs and want to try brighten up the room and go with a French White

What preparation do I need to do first prior to the final coat which will be Colortrends Satin or Eggshell?

I see Colortrend has an undercoat, would a coat of this be sufficient?

I have used their Satin before directly over gloss and it hasn't given any issues and took very well, so I plan to stick with similar again and we like the colour aswell
