Employer right of notice period

I checked the minimum notice periods act but it's from 1973 and it might have been changed since.

As an employee leaving a part-time seasonal job where I work the hours needed on a kind of casual basis, how much notice do I need to give my employer?

I think it's one week but I want to be sure as it's unlikely to go down well here.

One week's notice is the statutory requirement unless your contract specifies something different. If you have been there less than 13 weeks and there is nothing specific in your contract then no notice is required at all.

If you have a contract which specifies a minimum notice then that's the one that matters.
