Doubtful anything planned any time soon - not like there's new operators needing to train up

Commercially, you'll never see an A380'in Shannon.

But it's still possible in the case of diversions and training (BA being an example)

I hope it comes in for good reasons only

Looking out my hotel room window in Dubai, I see loads of these taking off everyday, I still think that they are super ugly.

I also agree that the a380 is ugly. The tail is too big for the body. If it was stretched by maybe 5 m it would look more in proportion.

To me the 747 is still the queen of the skies ... still also love dc10s or whatever they have decided to call them this week ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

Watching FEDEX taking off during the last few weeks, don't know if they are DC10, MD10 or MD11's :)

They be all MD 10 no DC 10 around anymore, The MD11 nose gear is further back than on the MD/DC 10 also the tail fin is smaller.

Unless you are in the USA, they will be MD-11Fs.

I've further edited the thread title as it sounded like someone wasn't sure if a plane was an A380 or not :p

Fr24 showing an A380 (F-HPJJ) reroute from Paris to Shannon. ETA 18.30. Anyone know why ?

It was mentioned in FR24 thread earlier that one went in as a tech diversion IIRC. This is probably the relief aircraft.

Av Herald reporting a medical diversion that then had a fuel leak on landing that closed the runway for approximately 2 hours. Presumably, the original aircraft needs maintenance attention to determine the cause of the leak, and ensure that it's resolved, so a replacement aircraft was sent to continue the flight.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

The diverted aircraft returned to Paris this morning so it must not have had too much of a problem.

Fuel valve for dumping fuel wouldn't close apparently, hence the spraying of fuel on the entire length of the runway and a nice proportion of taxiway. Was probably an easy fix considering it was gone this morning.
