holiday / applying for work visa while there

    hi

    i am 35 in june, am i allowed to go canada for 5 months on holidays as long as i dont work, and process an application while on holiday there?

    i own a business here and plan to work from canada remotely servicing ireland

    would like to spend some time there before moving

    You can work remotely. You can apply for a work permit from within Canada, but most people who have a visa-exempt passport just go to the border to get the permit when it's approved. (I assume you are not talking about IEC but about a "normal" work permit).
