Swap: Shimano 105 chainset

I have a next to new Shimano 105 5700 chainset 53/39 (172.5mm) that I'm looking to do a straight swap for. These are next to new - came off a new bike

Looking for a compact 50/34, preferably 105 as well, but can consider Tiagra if it's in decent nick. Not bothered about crank length.

Bear in mind I'm in north Wexford and not likely to be in Dublin any time soon...

    Here are some pics

.....or if anyone has a 50/34 Shimano chainset for sale?

Since you mention tiagra, though you may have your eye on 4700 in doing so, CRC have ok value on a 4650 crankset in 172.5mm at the moment: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ie/en/shimano-tiagra-4650-compact-10sp-chainset/rp-prod67233

Could then just sell your 5700 outright?

Good plan - thanks for that

Just to add, I grabbed one of these last week and despite a Q&A on the site saying there was no BB included, mine came with a set, so if you use threaded BBs, that makes for better value again, and if not you can always recoup maybe a tenner on that by flogging it on :)

I have a black 5800 172.3mm 50/34 chainset for sale. From googling, it seems that it'll work fine with the slightly wider 10 speed chain and will offer you more flexibility for the future. It has some light scuffing but I can send photos if you're interested. I can post it to you for €70

I think I have 50/34 chainrings at home with only a bit of use, would swap them for the 53/39.

I sold the crankset in the end as I couldn't get a swap..

Let me just check something quickly - would these compact chainrings slot in without adjustment onto a double crankset? Not clued up on how the bcd's differ.

If it's all good I think I'd dip in for these Cram.

Are yours 11 speed shimano, then yes, same BCD for all their chainrings AFAIK.
