Android Auto - Hyundai Tucson 2016

    Hi,

My aul lad has a Hyundai Tucson 2016. The dealer had mentioned that it had compatibility with the phone. Apart from bluetooth I had jumped to the conclusion it might have been Android Auto / Apple Carplay.

Alas , no mention of it. I had contacted the dealer and was met with the response of "whats Android Auto?"

From searching online the American and Austrailian versions can have the head unit software upgraded to install Android Auto.

The head unit is the same, I would just need the file for the update which can be loaded via an SD card.

Seeing the dealer hadnt got a clue what it even was, whats the likelihood it can be done to an Irish Tucson? Or has anyone have any success installing this themselves?

    Cheers

Looks like testing for generation 4 has begun and will be 2 years before it's on the streets.

Not sure what that has to do with the Tucson Audio system.
