Pre-Assembled Gaming PC

Hey all,

Posting this for a mate in the UK, he's looking to get into PC gaming for the first time but isn't really comfortable with the idea of building. Can you guys help him select a retailer/builder who'll give him the most bang for his buck?

1. What is your budget?
£700-800

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer?
Gaming: Overwatch, WOW: Legion etc.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows?
Yes

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer?
No, first time build.

5. Do you need a monitor?
Nope.

5a. If yes, what size do you need.
N/A

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future?
1920x1080. Yes.

6. Do you need any of these peripherals?
Keyboard & mouse. Headset. (Ideally no more than £50 each)

7. Are you willing to try overclocking?
No.

8. How can you pay?
Credit Card

9. When are you purchasing?
In ~10 days

10. If you need help building it, where are you based?
N/A. Wants to buy a pre-assembled unit.

Personally I find Medion to be a bit crap. When Lidl initially started selling them friends had 4x mobo replacements on the same machine in 2yrs. Recent units havent been much better.

TF will probably find a better deal, but something like that would be a good start. Theres a Ryzen skew that might be nice too with lower SC performance but much improved MC thanks to the HT.

Had a look at the Medion, specs look decent for the money although I'd like to know what mobo is inside it and how upgradeable it is for the future.

Its like buying HP or Dell, built to their own spec. That's the advantage of Scan or the others, you know its (M)ATX so parts are swappable.

Anyone ever used Cyberpower Systems remember seeing them advertise fairly regularly in magazines and their stuff looks decent from what I can see for the price.
