Sky Q & audio

Have sky Q since last week
My old hd box was connected with a red and white plug to the audio receiver
The new Q box don't have the sockets to put in the audio plugs so we plugged them into the telly but sound is **** specially with music
How to get the Q box connected to audio receiver directly???

Sky q is hi tech so old stuff is left behind, it has hdmi and optical out so if your receiver has an optical in you can use that for sound. what make is the audio receiver? It might be too old.

its a professional Sennheiser studio mixertable 15 years old
Not in the planning to renew the table at the moment
Hope there should be a converter of something like that I could put in between them to get it working again
