Hi guys. I bought a t90 sr. The new quiet gravity fed shower and there are no screws to mount the backplate to the wall included with the unit. Now i have plenty of loose screws in the toolbox that i can use but i was surprised to find that there was no stainless ones provided. Is it a case of the screws were left out by mistake or that triton dont include them? Cheers

They stopped providing screws 4 or 5 years ago. Tradesmen weren't using them. We'd bin them and use brass screws that works with our magnetic screwdrivers or screw guns. You won't need stainless steel or galvanised screws. If you you fit the shower correctly it'll be watertight and no rusting screws.

OP, when you get it up and running could you share your thoughts on it please?

    Interested in one myself.

I don't have one but i have seen one working, no noise except water. AFAIK it's the same floor plan as the T90z?

One thing i have seen though is folk not reading the manual- theres a commission link that needs to be moved to the on position that seems to be catching a lot of people out.

thanks for thee info/advice, yes the s/s screws are a bitch to get in awkward and brass coated or galvinised are easier to use.
anyway its up and running and very quiet, my mira pumped was 10 times noisier.
I installed a few triton t90 showers over the years in the different houses I have lived in and to be honest I found this a bit of a pain.
there were a few steps more than normal ie in the commissioning, also I was a bit nervous when tightening the copper compression fitting on to the plastic in case I damaged it. regards

Believe it or not there's actually less chance of damage with this plastic only water inlet. On the old type the Brass inlet was glued onto a plastic inlet. Overtighten that & it leaked. The commissioning link does my head in. Personally I don't think it's needed

Sorry to hijack but I picked up on of these too and was wondering does it need a dedicated feed from the tank?

Technically it does. They say that it could void the warranty. I have taken a tee off the a 3/4 inch pipe before where they had an old galvanised tank. There was no way I was drilling that. They can spring a leak too easily

Thanls Sleeper I completely forgot I posted here! Is qualplex sufficient or does it need to be copper?

Qualpex if fine. IMO it's actually better than copper for electric showers. It gives flexibility when it's time to replace the shower

Wondering if there is any value in my old shower (Triton T90si), if I was to buy the SR model? To help with the cost of the new one.

From an installers point of view its worthless as we'd have to offer a warranty but if it is still working you could try it on DoneDeal or Adverts. Wouldn't do any hard to video it working showing steam etc. Just in cask they make a mistake fitting it & blame the shower

Thanks for that, how much do you think I could ask for one?

They were made from 2000 to 2007. Something around 10 years old for maybe 50 euro. Remember they do not make parts for this model so anyone buy it they'll only get 1 to 3 years out of it. If you have a full riser kit, hose and triton shower head you may get a little more

We have a t90z at the minute... is the SR the exact same size etc? Wouldn't mind getting it replaced but don't want the hassle of tiling etc

    What about T90si? Different size?

SI is bigger by a half inch of so. This will only give you problems if it's not tiled behind properly. In this case we'd fill said half inch with silicone. Same for the shower pole. The SR pole is likely to be shorter than the SI one so you'll see a few screwholes. Again a blob of silicone
