Noticed during the week a person who was seeking a personal injury claim had their previous history of personal injury claims revealed in a non jury court. Does previous history of claims/crimes only happen in the case of non jury trials?

There would need to be some element of it being relevant, e.g. if you broke your leg having previously broken your leg four times, that would tend to be relevant. If you merely cut your finger, that would tend to be irrelevant. However, if you cut your finger many times, that might show a pattern of clumsiness.
