Looking at an Octavia Estate (13/14) with DSG for the misses, either 1.6 or 2.0. Does anyone have experience of them and can the DSG be trusted for reliability? Is the 2.0CR engine a reliable thing?

    Cheers.

had a PD engine Octavia with the old DSG box. It was agricultural but reliable as fook.

currently have a CR engine with DSG, no issues so far.

my mother ran the same 1.6 engine in a mk6 golf with DSG and no issues.

All were serviced as per intervals and received all updates.

Just bear in mind when one goes south they are expensive...but you will have the same issues with most modern auto boxes.
