    Hello,

Just wondering if an attic conversion could be considered for the Housing Adaptation Grant rather than an extension.

The attic conversion is to facilitate someone living with a disability?

Correct. They would fall under priority 3

Well it's certainly worth a try, but you won't know unless you submit it.
Is a straightforward downstairs extension out of the question?

Not really. Contact them and see. Just wondering if anyone knew off hand.

The only ones I've ever seen approved were straightforward downstairs ensuite bedroom extensions but I don't see any reason not to try if you think you have a good case.
    Good luck.
