Am thinking of importing an A4. Was wondering about the convertibility of the virtual cockpit from mph to kmh, if you can tweak it in settings sounds like a no-brainer :D

I would expect it is trivial. It could be as simple as a flicking a simple user setting in the car's computer itself. Worst case, it'll need vcds coding.

That's a big bugbear a lot of people have with UK imports so if it can display km's then it's a big advantage. I wonder can the latest BMWs also be switched to km with coding?

I switched my 2006 e90 to km when I bought it, in the settings menu. Is it harder to do with newer versions?

OP- I drive a lot of new Audi's in the U.K. As rental cars, and I always change everything over to KM, only takes a few seconds in settings.

I just bought an A6 from England, very easy to switch to KM in the MMI menu, its the same for the A4 i believe

This was a brand new A4 Avant S-Line I was driving in the U.K. About 3 weeks ago,

I didn't have to change it as it was already set to KM

It looks like that has analogue dials for the speedo set in miles? The op is taking about the virtual cockpit. It's the miles on the main dial that marks the car out as being an import

    Ah,

I actually had a Volvo S90 last week with full virtual cockpit, however I never bothered trying to see if could be changed over to Km from M

Surely a call to an Audi dealership either north or south of the border would determine if it could be done.

I'd be inclined to think that if it was a full virtual dash, it must be able to be changed (given the U.K. is the only European market to use Miles)

Not sure an Irish dealer would be willing to give the answer, and not sure I trust a UK dealer to be honest if it can't! You would think absolutely it should be in settings.
