DNS control on iOS on Data (off wifi)

Hi looking to implement a service like OpenDNS but on googling its unclear if there is a way to set up an alternative DNS via an App for something like an iphone. This is to help secure one of my teenagers phones when not on Wifi. Has anyone done this on iOS? Thanks in advance
