Females only house shares

Just looking for a house share at the moment and surprised at the number of houses/flats that are advertised as female only.

Just wondering why women would find it so bad to have to share a flat/house with a man. I can see why people wouldn't want to share with couples, but is the thought of sharing with a man so awful. It's a shame because the houses are usually great too.

Incidentally, have only seen maybe one where it was males only. It strikes me as a bit boys are smelly childish tbh.
    Failed to load the poll.

Fair enough. But there might be some pros to having a man about the house too. It just kinda annoys me and if I'm honest it is a bit discriminatory too.

Can you not just rock up to the next advertised house in a nice floral print summer dress and say you're gender fluid, currently identifying as a woman?
