    Hi all,

Editing some cr2 images in this but I cannot find how to revert all changes I have made to a particular image without closing the entire software and clicking not to save.

Anyone familiar with this software know how to do this? Google was not helpful :(

never used it but you could try CTRL+Z or click Edit> Undo in the menu bar

Yea that only does the most recent individual edit, it doesn't discard all edits made to the photo relative to the original.

You do realise that you cannot edit a RAW file?

The CR2 file is a data file and it remains unchanged. What you edit in a RAW converter is the metadata file. Delete the file with the same name as the CR2 file it should return to defaults.

I did not know that, thanks cabansail!

I don't think DPP uses the sidecar or .XMP file CabanSail is referring to (Lightroom and PS do, though). It writes the changes directly into the Raw file - but they can always be changed again.

You can revert to the original "shot" settings via the Adjustments menu or Ctrl + Shift + Z

If you go to 'Adjustments' at the top of the screen and at the bottom of the list is an option called 'revert to shot settings' That should do it for you!

If any of the above suggestions don't work for you, remember that you don't have to close the "entire software" - just select a different folder in the left-hand pane/folder view and you'll be prompted to save or not.
