Okay, so I'm about to start my first job and I need "Official PPS Number documentation". Where can I get this? I need it by Sunday, am currently waiting on my medical card because they're backdated quite a bit so I don't have that documentation.

Do you have any revenue documentation or a social welfare card?

No, I'm still in college studying. Where can I get one of these over the next few days if you know? Thanks.

Go into revenue.ie, look up contact locator, put in your pps number and it'll give you the number for your tax office.

Ring them and ask them to send a you a tax cert in the post. You're cutting it fine now for Sunday though.

Have you a social services card?

My student ID doesn't have my PPS, just student number.

Another alternative would be to actually go into a tax office, they might print something for you if you bring id?

I just had registered for revenue.ie and apparently they're verifying me or something. I'll try dig out an old medical card form hopefully.

Did you get a SUSI grant in college? That will have your PPS no, or your college registration will have the PPS details too. In this day and age, you need PPS for every government agency or department, surely there is a record of it somewhere that you can access?

SUSI requires you to enter it online and you fill it in on the online application form but I've been looking through their documentation they sent me and it's not on them. But if I log in to my SUSI account it will show me my details and my PPS is there. I don't know if they would accept me logging in on my phone or something into my account and viewing my details as proof.

They'll send you a letter so. Quicker ringing though.

Can I ask if you're of Irish nationality?

I'm Irish, just never really needed any of this information before. Just going to be bored for the summer and I want to travel Asia so I decided to get a job.

No, that's grand, I was just wondering. They may just need it so they have proof that you're allowed work so don't worry about it too much. Bring your passport with you as well.
