    Hi,

I'm looking to do a small bit of trading on the side, nothing major just some buying and selling of second hand goods that will fit in with my current job.

    I am currently:
    PAYE with my main job
Am a partner in a partnership running a VAT registered beauty salon
Own a VAT registered company which I have stopped trading with (software).

I presume the first and last bits are not an issue, but as I the salon is VAT registered and a partnership, does this mean that I am VAT registered?

The goods I am selling will mainly be furniture, bought privately so will have no scope for claiming VAT and will be under all thresholds (Expect to turnover 10-20k
