Bird ID (ID'd as male Hen Harrier)

    Can anyone help id the bird at the top of this image? It was being chased by a couple of crows the other day

    Leucistic Kestrel maybe? I initially though it was a gull at first but when I zoomed in it looks like a raptor to me and the long tail makes me thing kestrel, but I could very well be wrong.

    Yes... lovely male hen harrier... always fantastic to see... and an all too rare sight in Ireland today.

    Would be good if you could report your sighting to the Irish Raptor Study Group on monitoring@irsg.ie.
