walnut or stained oak for stair treads

    Hi all, anyone any advice/experience with walnut treads on concrete stairs? Hearing that these are very hard to keep but think that stained oak might be similar... Any dark colour really. Need to match with walnut doors downstairs but we also have 2 sliding doors that were made from dark stained mahogany which might be another option...

    I have them but can't give you any feedback coz they're only just gone in and FF isn't being lived in at the moment! They look the biz though :D

    Sorry, will get pics tomorrow. Painter did all - stain I guess.

    :D yeah I meant was it clear stain or what colour/brand..

    Sorry, don't know what brand, etc. but I think it may have been walnut stain. We have laminate floors upstairs and downstairs and we just asked the painter to give us a blend in between both. Hope the pics help in some way.
