New box - missing channels

I got a new box setup today as the Sky was costing me far too much. I got the openbox v8, same as the next door neighbour.

Anyway Sky Sports and RTE have stopped working on his and they're not working on mine either.

    Any ideas?

Would new codes not unblock them? I presumed they'd be blocked regularly.

*I'm only new to this! Haven't a clue.

Sky are blocking card some channels no so people using card sharing cannot get lots of the channels anymore. They are removing channels almost every week now and they will all be gone before long. Unfortunately what you bought is an expensive fta box.

As others have said, this can't be discussed on boards but I'm afraid you've wasted your money and been scammed. Contact seller and demand refund
