Are test results delayed by the measures taken to counteract the hack in the HSE?

Does anyone know if results are delayed? Pathology results particularly, are they generally sent by email?

Hospital labs have databases for results. Paper results are sent back to the referring doctor. Security systems and software has been/is being patched. We were told not to use email or internet until today while they worked on everything, I did hear that the HSE's systems were all fine.

You could try ringing the hospital lab and asking them.

Labs generally won't give results to patients, and fairly too, they're not clinicians.

Thank you. I wanted to know if lab results for tests were going to be delayed. I think you're saying they're not delayed then?

Yes sorry, I meant ringing to ask timeline for results to go back if extremely concerned.

Results nor reports were delayed. Only emails from outside the HSE were blocked. HSE networks, including ereporting, post for paper reports and phones for urgent reports all worked as normal.
