how do lads like using sheep decks ? I've a easy load ifor, but the ramp is still steep enough and the sheep don't want to go up it, which takes abit of shoving to get enough loaded. Bottom deck, they'd nearly walk themselves in. Any easy ways of getting em loaded ?

Have the same Ifor decks, they are steep alright but i try to line up a lunatic first and once one or two go up the rest seem to follow, better to try to run up five first and then the rest if you try running 20 ewes at a ramp your wasting your time i find.

I had the sheep penned tight infront of ramp, and manuvered a few up it slowly. They'd only stand sideways so got one or two in and rest followed. Thing is you've a bit exposed when your standing half way up ramp if one decided to charge back against you.

Get an agey mountain ewe she'll instinctively climb and lead the rest up;)

Anyone ever have a 4ft high roof trailer ? Ifor all their livestock trailers in them as an option. Often thought about a 12 x 5 x 4 or even a 14ft one. You'd imagine they'd glide behind a jeep without any wind resistance.

Have pulled 10ft one behind the car, handy pull but are very expensive I think.

Ya, their only fractionally cheaper then a proper 6ft high roof one, but as you say easily pulled. Might be better value second hand as you can be sure none would ever been overloaded.
