Cobblelock Drive

Our drive is a bit of a disgrace so fired down some weedkiller and lost all interest to be honest - so called a guy who does drives, usual before (my drive :pac:) and after, the drive of Jesus, all nicely sealed and miraculously all straight etc. He gave me a quote for cleaning it and I thought happy days (under €100). Then I ask does that include sealing at which point he advised me not to bother (and it could be done for around €300).

Before cluttering up the forum with my rambling I did a search and the few threads I could find suggest sealing the drive. I'm wondering if it's just someone trying to maximise what they can get done in a week, or maybe the wrong time of year to be trying to seal, or whether I'm being given good advice?

The drive would be big enough for two cars but is designed in such a way to hold one so has a large exposed area (not covered by the car) which is why I'm thinking sealing and pristine looking is key.

Any guide on price and any recommendations (if allowed) in North Dublin?

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the bump - any thoughts on whether it should be sealed?

So the lad either never turned up, or turned up and thought feck that :pac:

So I'm back to doing this myself - I've been spraying and using a weed whacker yoke to clear it and it's looking a lot better. Eventually it's going to need a power wash, once I've done that I just brush sand into the cracks is that right?

Is it then worth sealing - some people have said don't bother and just maintain it.

Any suggestions on a washer that does all this
    ?
