Hi folks. I want a laptop for some gaming and small audio editing projects. Its nothing too major.  I had a look on Pcspecialist and came up with this:

    Is this any good?
My budget is max €1000. Can anyone do better than this?
I have a business so I can claim back on VAT so you can use this on the budget.
It has to be a laptop please don't suggest a desktop.

    Cheers Folks.

Should be a sound little machine, 1050Ti will play most if not all games competently.

17.3" is a tank of a machine though, that's probably going to be heavy.

Have you tried looking at non-custom laptops yeah? €1000 seems a little pricy but I'm no laptop guru

There's literally 2 models available within your budget that have the more powerful GTX 1060 3Gb GPU, however they only have TN panel screens.

PCSpecialist are Schenker by another name IIRC. Look up reviews if you like.

    Other models to consider:

Swap the HDD for an SSD. Much faster, lower power consumption/less noise and heat.

I'd query the thickness. Too thin means unless it has somewhere for the heat to go, it may lead to issues further down the line, and/or after some serious use.

Maybe ask them about airflow, and how they take care of it?

And as above, SSD rather than HDD; less heat, longer battery life.

It's a very good machine. Gaming wise, it will run the latest games at 1080p high, which is pretty incredible for a laptop. Previous entries in the 1K bracket (the 960M, which is actually still available in a ton of laptops in the 800-1k mark) would run most new games at 1080p low-some medium.
