Buying a house prior to 1964

Im buying a house in an estate in Dublin which is an ex council estate. I am reasonably sure the estate was built in 1938. Because it was built prior to 1964 no planning permission is required but the sellers solicitor cant provide any documentation that states this fact.

I thought Dublin city council might be able to help but I'm told they will not furnish the solicitor with such a document stating such because it is no longer their house and are very unhelpful.

My solicitor told me that if I wished to sell the house in the future then the next solicitor for the buyers would require this information so I am worried this will cause problems down the line should I ever decide to sell.

Would anyone know who might be able to confirm the house was built prior to 1967 other than Dublin city council?

From recollection of buying my 1950 ex council house, DLRCoCo confirmed by letter that there was no PP. as requested by the solicitor.

Maybe an OS map can show it?

As you are buying it, it's the sellers responsibility to provide those documents.
