Hi all, priced a one way flight from Dublin to New York yesterday for December. Air france had the best fare at €230. Returned today to book to realise it's jumped to €1950!! I've tried everything- deleting cookies etc but nothing changes. I understand that I can try another airline but Aer Lingus are fairly pricey also. Should I just consider it a lesson learned, or do you think that the price might fall again somewhat? Thanks!

€230 for DUB-NYC is a very cheap ticket, are you sure you were looking at the correct and final price? As that's a very large jump.
The best way to look for the cheapest bar this stage is prob skyscanner, have you had a look there ?

Thanks for your reply! Yes it's funny- when I price return tickets for that date the departing ticket from Dublin - NY is €230. However, when I price single tickets Dublin - NY they are €1950 each! Any ideas?

Single tickets are usually very expensive. Id just book the return and not use the retun leg. Have you looked at Norwegian by any chance?

AF/KL price singles very expensively even on European routes.

By the way unless you have a resident visa you cannot enter the US on a one way ticket.

Using the visa waiver program, which most Irish people do, you have to prove you will be leaving the US in no more than 90 days.

Airline / site / return date I can't see that?

240 return even with a 5 hour layover is a steal.

Be no bags or food with that just a heads up but still a steal

What website are you using? Have you tried Skyscanner?

OP was looking for single ticket to New York, so my quote was single only..

It's with Norweigan.. Can I paste links? Sorry if this doesn't work:

Thanks everyone! Got sorted, flight booked. Was totally confused about a single way ticket being way more expensive than a return but I get it now!
