No water from taps connected to pump (cold water ok)

Upstairs hot and cold taps in bath and shower (thermostat non electric mixer shower) are connected to pump which is in downstairs utility room. Pump is a Grundfos type STC-2.0c). Bathroom sink taps not connected.

After giving kids a shower today and running both hand held and shower hoses there was no hot water coming out of the taps. Cold taps worked fine and I could hear and see pump running for these. No sound from pump when hot taps on.
There was also no water coming out of any of the hot taps in the house.

I tried running all hot water taps in house for a while then on some of the mixer taps I turned on hot tap then held cloth tight under tap and ran cold tap for about 30 seconds to try force out air lock.

I now have some water coming out of hot taps downstairs and in ensuite but still none from bath and shower tap. I tried running all hot taps again and some hot taps dried up but some kept running, no water in bath and shower hot taps still.

Is there anything else I can try - maybe with the pump or is it time to call a plumber?

By the way if it makes any difference, pump is just under two years old (when whole house was replumbed) and also it always takes about 2 minutes for the water in the taps in my bath and shower to get hot but the sink tap (which is not connected to the pump) gets hot in about 30 seconds.
