wrong dam, blue card

    Hi all, iv just realised that i have the wrong dam down for 2 calves I switched them by mistake.
    What happens now.
    The breed dates and gender is all OK its just the dams are wrong

    Get a form er94b fill it in and send the 2 wrong cards to your local dvo

    I wouldn't worry about it. You can get the local DVO to issue new cards with the correct dams on the cards if you want, it's easy to get done.

    The only issue it might cause would be with the genomics scheme if you're in that or you sell the calves (if they're heifers) to someone who is in the scheme.

    Rubbish!

    You always have to have the correct details for your animals on their blue cards.

    I all ways do it right but if i make a mistake like that I just let it go it makes no difference what so ever I have never seen any of the calves having a troubled life wondering how there parents are

    Maybe when you go to sell them in the mart or privately or send them for slaughter you might find problems

    Sure when your your selling the animal there buying whats in front of them not whats on paper
