Anyone have a place online where I can get some? Got a black bottle last week in Dubrovnik, and I need to drink it again. It's amazing.

    https://www.rumundco.de/newsletter.php

For those interested, Danzka sent me this link for buying online.

Yes. You have, for example, the possibility to order a transport company, which will pick up the goods directly from us. Another option might be to buy a packing station near the German border or to specify a different delivery address within Germany. A direct dispatch abroad is being worked on.
    Awesome

I haven't looked at it on the laptop yet, translated to English. Have no problem paying duty either.

But you paying duty isn't an option. Rum & Co has to pay the duty and VAT to Irish Revenue before they send you anything. And I doubt it's going to be worth their while to set that up.

Is this a complete non runner before I put in an order?

It really looks like it to me. At the moment, per the quote above, they say they don't ship outside of Germany. So unless you have the arrangements they suggest in place, including the relevant tax documents, I can't see how ordering would end with you getting any vodka.

Would your crowd be interested in selling it?

I might fire off an email to him and see what is said. Failing that, I'll be annoying people to bring me back bottles from select duty free places.

I don't have a crowd that sells things.

There is a German parcel motel type crowd that I used before. Mailbox.de
    Might that work?

Liquids might be an issue though..

No method other than bringing it in yourself (on your person) or buying it from a seller who pays Irish duty is legal or guaranteed to get here.

My dad is going to bring me home 2 bottles from Malaga the end of June. Won't be back again till Sept, and I don't think I can control my consumption that long.

Got 2 bottles today, delivered to the door for 92 Euro. I'm as happy as a pig in this.
how did that work, was excise duty added by amazon?

If you like neutral vodkas you should give skyy a go, as neutral as they get. I found danzka very easy to drink, convinced someone had watered it down!

I would also recommend smirnoff black if its a good price. Both of those would be dearer than bog standard smirnoff red but cheaper (and nicer IMO) than the likes of grey goose or ketel one.

How can you be charged excise duty on goods bought from another EU member state? I thought that was the whole point of the EU?

Excise duty rates vary hugely across the EU and there's no desire to harmonise them. If it was possible to simply pay the lower rate from another member state nobody in the more expensive states (like Ireland) would buy drink there. Hence the rule is that the duty must be paid in the destination country, unless you're personally transporting the goods.

Thanks, God forbid we could get non extortional booze.

No idea. The website/receipt was in German. I just found the bottles I wanted and clicked go.
