Just fitted blue and green LED park lights in two friends cars.
    Just wondering if they legal?
Can't see the blue ones being legal.

No. White or yellow visible at the front only.

Thought so meself. What are the consequences of being caught? Fine/penalty points or just a warning and to change them?

With the blue ones they could do you for impersonating a police vehicle if they wanted.

It will also make the driver look like a knob.

The chances of being caught are so low that it's not worth considering. The amount of vehicles with dodgy lights is a scandal.

Resurrecting a slightly old thread here... As regards upgrading from conventional bulbs to white LEDs for parking lights, seems they should be legal but may be questionable for passing an NCT. Can anyone comment on their reliability? My car has separate parking lights which look a bit stupid being yellow beside the xenon dips

As long as they emit white or yellow light, it doesn't matter if they are led or conventional bulbs.

The cheap ones from the likes of China on ebay don't last that long, probably less than 12 months. I've also seen them flicker intermittently too.
