Three years ago Landon Michelson nobly DQ'ed himself from U.S. Open qualifying, a decision that has haunted him to this day By the sounds of it it cost him a lot more than just a spot in the US Open.

Sad to read about his struggles, but tbh I wouldn't be surprised if he'd have found himself in the same way if he hadn't have DQ'ed himself. Just would have been the guilt getting him instead. At the end of the day he signed for the wrong score.
