Vibration from front end

Just looking for a bit of help here,
When driving my car over 80km/h I get a bad vibration from the front end (but not so much through the steering wheel) doesn't happen at low speeds.
Also when I'm at a complete stop and turn the wheel and go to pull away I get a knock from the drivers side, don't know if that's a separate issue or related.
I've replaced the 2 front control arms which were worn but this hasn't helped the issue
Could it be as simple as of balance tires?

    Any help appreciated

Yes it could be that simple

It could be that simple, but with the knock, it'll likely be a worn suspension component. Typically a worn strut mount can give a knock like that without usually providing much feedback of a worn component through the steering wheel except over the sharpest of bumps and as you've described, worn suspension components contribute to vibrations in the steering wheel over 80km/hr.

Only thing to do to save hours of frustration is, get it on a lift. Have someone check with a pry bar and he should be able to spot anything amiss in a few minutes.

More so a ramp than a lift in most situations as you'll likely need the suspension to be loaded in order to replicate the knock.

If the shake isn't coming through the steering wheel it's more than likely coming from the back of the car.

Had rear ball joint replaced as it failed slip test in nct but problem still there, could it be a faulty drop link?
Think I need to do a bit of work with pry bar
