Hi, just wondering could anyone tell me can I work hours as well as doing a Ce scheme in Childcare. I know I would have to register for tax but is there a limit on hours worked?

No, CE scheme is designed as a labor activation scheme for the unemployed, and long term unemployed, if you have work then you are no longer unemployed and are not entitled to a place on the scheme.

OP, are you currently on a CE scheme hoping to take on extra work, or currently working and hoping to do a CE scheme?

Yes of course you can work on top of it!! You can do an additional 19 hours

You must be on the scheme already though, you can't do it the other way round

If you are already on a CE scheme you are free to fill the other hours with any work you might find.

You can work alongside CE up to 19.5 yrs per week . Up to you to contact revenue.

You must be on CE before you can take up the extra work though

    Hth.
