Handbrake not working on one wheel

    Hi all,

    My 08 Corolla fail the NCT because the handbrake isn't working on one of the rear wheels. Obviously will have to get it fixed, any ideas of how much this will cost me?

    Depends if you need cables adjusted, new cables, shoes, or have a siezed caliper - (shoes/caliper depends on the handbrake system in that era of corolla)

    So its hard to say, €25-€200 depending on parts and labour required. I'll err on the lower end of that estimate provided you dont go to toyota.

    Thanks for that, I know it was a very general query but was just looking for a ballpark or worst case scenario idea of cost. Things a bit tight at the moment! I won't be going to a Toyota garage, I have a mate checking it out with a guy he knows. My next problem is getting it done ASAP, someone needs to see my new NCT cert within 10 days of the last time I meet him :eek:
