    Hi All,

I use adbl0ck (with a zero) on my android phone. When I navigate to youtube Im blocked with a certificate error:

    NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

I have to force stop adbl0ck to access the site.

Anyone know of a better solution?

Browsers affected Chrome, opera , firefox.

Dolphin browser works with cert warnings but would prefer to use the above browsers.

Contacting adbl0ck for support goes to dev null.

Are you rooted? Use Adaway instead.

Opera browser did the trick. Thanks for the suggestions.

Next step, set youtube app to disable. 😎

Can you get in-app adblockers on android?

You can do system-wide adblocking on Android and without root too by changing DNS provider

Install Pepe DNS Changer and then point your phone's DNS to Adguard (176.103.130.130, 176.103.130.131). This app creates a VPN but it doesn't actually tunnel, proxy or intercept any of your traffic. The VPN approach is simply a workaroud to force the device to use your chosen DNS provider on both WiFi and mobile data connections, your traffic flows through your ISP as it always does

I've used this setup on all my devices for months on end now and I find it brilliant. There are a few different blocking DNS providers out there so you can play around and mix and match them to find what works best. I find Adguard's DNS service stable with low response times and it blocks plenty so I've stuck with them. I see they now do a dedicated Android app for adblocking but I haven't used this so can't comment

    +1 for Adaway.
Adguard is on offer (way better) at the moment, Lifetime license for less than €3 (You can bring it with you when you change phone etc.)
    Does not require root.

    Heres how I block ads,

    1. Install adbl0ck (with a zero), this blocks ads for aps (not browsers) - not available in the app store.
    2. Install adblock plus or similar on browsers.

Free and painless. (except the odd cert issue, elle to the oh elle.)
