    MAC address is assigned to the network interface at manufacture, this is unique to each and cannot be changed, however, it can be spoofed.

    So no it will not damage your device.

    Just a matter of sticking TAILS OS onto a usb key and booting to usb :)

    Not even. Many drivers supply the function under windows.

    Yeah I know but Tails has Tor browser pre installed, has my bitcoin wallet etc :cool:

    I going to give OP a tip, especially if he wants to get into IT security. Before you post Google , 95-99% you'll get the answer. You can spoof a MAC ( Media Access Control ) address but can not change it , it is the physical address of the hardware. The first group of three denote the manufacture.

    MAC addresses never leave the network you're in. They're only relevant to other devices in the house/business/coffee shop etc.
