I have just been informed that the person I work for is retiring and a new person will be taking over the role in the coming weeks/months, it is a role that is appointed by the Government but not a Civil Servant. Does anyone know if the new person has to keep me on in the role I am currently doing.

    Depends entirely on your contract.

I have since found out the answer and it is yes they do have to keep me on (or else make me redundant). So the thread can be closed now by a mod. Thanks.
