Audi A4 phone cradle bluetooth

    My brother has a 04 Audi A4. It has an Audi phone cradle in it that was suited to a Nokia, or something similar to what was popular in 2004.

    Does anyone know if it may have bluetooth? He doesn't need the charging function or to be able to sit the iPhone he has now into the cradle. Just needs to connect it for hands free. I read somewhere that the bluetooth function may be turned off, and VCDS can be used to turn it back on. Is this true?

    Very unlikely to have Bluetooth. Are there any phone buttons built into the car?

    It should, kits before that year did, if you put the ignition on and search for devices on the Iphone does it show the car kit?

    I'm not sure if he tried that, tbh. He wouldn't be the most tech savvy, and when he asked me to take a look at it , I was in a hurry.

    It does have phone buttons built into the steering wheel, and when you press the call button, a voice says something about try again.

    A mate had a car with this type kit on it and it did, not sure if this is fully the entire kit or an adaptor which might be either type...

    That's like a CK7W Nokia kit, I think the OP has an Audi branded cradle.

    Thanks. I know that kind of system. Had one for years. A simple easy job.

    But the one in his Audi is an actual Audi part, from what I can tell/see. It's this one:DSC00068.jpg
