Are Nissan dealerships here the same as the UK in that they are ok for you to take a fast charge from them if you happen to be passing with your Leaf?

Yup, assuming they have one installed.
However, they tend to be accessible only during business hours.

Look at the eCars map and the Chademo chargers that are shown in light blue colour are the Nissan owned chargers:

I charged in airside last week while in another garage with my brother.
You can benluck and it's not occupied or blocked by their demo or sale cars.

Generally I think if you go into them they will allow you, especially if it's needed to get you out of a hole.

They are required by the contracts to allow you access to their rapid if they are open and you are driving a Nissan EV.

If they refuse report them to Nissan Ireland/UK/France and they'll be put in their place in double time.

access Nissan airside, by mounting the footpath head on to the charger, easy and 24/7 access

Sounds like they forgot to read the fine print.

Presumably the dealer has to bear the cost of the electricity used and they didn't like the sound of that!

Does said dealer still have it and is it running?

Let's not lay blame at the door of Cork... it was a dealer in Kerry, not Cork.

And let's be honest here... those eejits are the reason there's no rapid charger in Tralee any more.

Apologies to be resurrecting such an old thread. So there used to be a Fast Charger in Tralee and its been taken away by the dealer there? That's a pity as I'm around there regularly enough :/

You don't have unfettered access to Nissan dealership chargers, max 30 minutes and also max number of charges per week
