Japanese ingredients in the city or online?

    Hi All,

I recently bought a Japanese cookbook and I am finding it very hard to find any of the necessary ingredients, Gyoza skins to name one! If anyone has any suggestions on where I could find them within Galway city or even online this would be much appreciated, I really want to make Japanese style dumplings soon :)

Apparently there's a Asian Foodmarket in Terryland, it came up in the English market thread. I'm assuming it's in behind the Maldron.

Hi, I tried terryland but they only stock a few selected japanese items, mainly for making sushi. I am looking for different ingredients. Also tried the one in rahoon near aldi, no luck either.

Yes, I have tried terryland and one in rahoon. They all seem to only stock items for sush but no other japanese ingredients.

The Asian shop on Mary Street has a good range of products - worth a look.

The best asian shop in town is Asiactic on Abbeygate St. but like all the Asian shops the amount of Japanese stuff is basic. Still, check out the freezer section there in case they have the dumpling wraps.

For online I'd recommend https://www.japancentre.com/ - they appear to sell the wraps but only in UK as they are sent frozen. You might be able to Parcel Wizard them to Ireland.

If you ever passing through Limerick be sure to swing by here: https://goo.gl/maps/PusALTcGr1J2
