Linux supported printer/scanner/copier

Hi,

Am looking for a recommendation for an all in one wireless printer that works well with linux for home use.
I liked some canon models but linux drivers dont seem to feature too highly in their priorities.

Any recommendations?

Brother devices are well supported just check on the site before you buy.

Do you use one GNU/Linux distro in particular?

I use epson R2000 and it works fine over wifi, ethernet and usb, but it's B3+ size. Have you seen this page?

Just Ubuntu at the moment, but want to be open to add others shortly.

I'm sure it used to be the case (I had HP only because of their open source support), but now I'd pick a printer and then check if it's supported. There is a very good chance that it is as linux is no longer ignored system.

Those guides are from 2016/17, so it might work out-of-the-box now.

Don't buy a printer for linux without checking it out on openprinting.org .

That one's not listed, but the MG5650 and several other MG ones are rated "paperweight"

I have an MX525 which does work, but it's clumsy for cloud print.

I have Ubuntu and a Canon MG2950 and it prints through wifi with no problems whatsoever. Scanning doesn't work at the moment, I haven't bothered to check into that.
