HRV - working intermittently

    Hi,
have an ITHO ECO4 HRV unit that has started working intermittently. It doesn't seem to be working at all for most of the day and then kicks in at a high speed for a good few hours before switching off again.
If I reset the unit (switch off and back on) it will function for a period of time and then switch off again.
The PCB has been mentioned as the possible cause of the problem but just said I'd ask to see
if anyone has had a similar issue with this unit and found a fix for it.

    Check the temperature settings.

    Hi Victor,
thanks for the reply. Excuse my ignorance by where or how does one go about checking the temperature settings.
I've looked on line but haven't found any useful information on temperature settings of a HRV unit.

I've never used a HRV, but the intermittent usage sounds like it is controlled by a thermostat that is only kicking in at certain temperature points.

Some HRV systems stop when the temperature gets above a certain setting as it's pointless recovering heat when the outside temperature is the same as the internal temperature & the householders have the windows open.
