    Bit of a strange comparison - a twincharger petrol engine and a turbo diesel. 6k for a 9 year old Golf with an engine known for being unreliable is hardly a bargain. You're nearly into GTi money there.

    I did not know the tsi was known for being unreliable. I enjoy having the frugality of the diesel but miss having a petrol overall and thought the 1.4tsi was meant to be relatively economical.
