Oil heating line. Regs/best practice

    Hi.
    Noted this today when giving someone a hand.
    Recent renovation.
    New oil line and condensor boiler.
    About a 5 metre run under gravel, garden and flagstones.
    No protective pipe.
    Is this allowed? If not, how best to approach?
    He believes the builder on renovation ran pipe and builders plumber connected.
    Image not very descriptive, but it is a plastic sheathed copper oil line.

    Pipe will last indefinitely once its not damaged by a shovel.

    Pipe will last indefinitely unless its vulnerable to accidental damage.

    Digging garden etc. etc.

    No mechanical protection but (as already stated) fine once it's not disturbed, but for the want of maybe €20? he could have run it in a 50mm polythene duct and made it easier if the line needed replacing at any future time.
