Yes, plenty, and Windows phones too. But to be perfectly honest, wireless charging isn't all it's cracked up to be either - you still have to have the phone on a wireless charging plate, which has to be plugged in, so you actually don't have as much freedom as wired charging.

I know there was some talk of apple investigating the possibility of charging over short distances, but a technology like that could mess with yo' weave -

I think a Lumia was the first phone to have it. A couple of Androids got the feature very soon afterwards. Apple introduced it around two years after that.

I find some phone tech and the way phone retailers and even reviewers try to push them is bizarre.

Wireless charging because laying your device on a mat is somehow better than just plugging it in?

Smart watches that only work when you have your phone on your person.

USB C because if the plug doesn't go in one way then it's literally impossible to solve the next step.

To a lesser extent NFC for card transactions because taking your phone out of your pocket to make a transaction is somehow easier than taking out your debit/credit card.

Yeah, first showed up with the Lumias running Windows Mobile or whatever the fook it was called. Seemed a bit gimmicky

I think it's one of the best additions of recent years; the wireless plate stays plugged in all the time at my desk in work so I just plop the phone down whenever I'm not using it and it's always ready to go when I need it.

No more getting tangled in cables mid phone call :P

It is however pointless if you don't have a fixed location to work from as in that case it's easier to use the USB cable rather than having to bring a dedicated charge plate and power adapter.

I'm using a windows phone so it's built directly in to the hardware, no faffing about with additional cases or anything.

Apple don't use it on theirs phone yet which I was really surprised at. My old Lumia 920 from 2012 I think was one of the first commercially available phones to implement integrated wireless charging.

To pay by card I need to take my wallet out and then take the card out, so use 2 hands and can do nothing else. To pay by phone I only need to take it out and activate the screen. It saves seconds when purchasing and I can continue packing as I pay.

Main benefit of it I think is in cars.

I know the Hyundai Ioniq has a wireless charging pad. Charging cables are always untidy looking in cars so getting into the car and just setting the phone down on a pad is a great solution.

Anywhere else and the cable is just as good.

HTC brought in Wireless Charging for Android back in like 2012 or something, and a lot of other Android phones have had it since then.

Apple do not have Wireless charging, but there are some 3rd party cases you can buy which kind of do it.

I've been using Wireless charging since about 2013 or so. It's ridiculously handy, just pop the phone on to the charging pad and wander off.

I have wireless charging on my samsung s7, handy thing to just leave on your desk and forget. One other convenient part that hasnt been mentioned is saving the wear and tear on your charging port, from constantly plugging in and out.
That and broken screens tend to be the most common issues with mobile phones these days.

I have an s7 edge and I've been wondering if I need a wireless charger or if I just want it because it's cool.

So I'm getting one for beside the bed. I hate trying to find the cable in the dark.

you can get very cheap ones online that dont do fast charging, they are ideal for overnight charging.

Apple does no have wireless charging.

The materials currently used in all of their phones does not allow for it

Their next phone is assumed to have it due to changes away from aluminium on the rear of the devices.

This was and informational post for others here who might think their phone has it.

Rather than a post for a poor attempt at a windup by the OP
