Switch battery charge issue

Anyone else had this? I had the Switch charging on the AC adapter all night last night, turned it on this evening to find it was charged to 50%. Docked it played for a while, undocked, still at 50%. Became a little concerned. I've had it plugged into the AC adapter again and it still won't charge above 50%!
    Advice?

I've read that this may be a battery display error rather than the battery actually being this percentage.

This is advice someone gave on Neogaf about this. As it seems it wont show above 50%, try draining the battery pretty low by playing it and then charging it after.

If anyone is experiencing similar issues here's what you need to do:

-Charge your system to 100% and put it in sleep mode until you have around 3 hours to spare
-Play a game of your choice, preferably Zelda for 3 hours straight

Don't worry about the low battery notification, carry on playing even if it warns you of saving before it turns off. The Switch won't turn off 45 mins, an hour, 90 mins, 2 hours or even 150 mins into a full charge playing Zelda on 50% brightness and volume with wifi turned on.

Once you have done that and completely charged it again, the battery indicator should be fixed."

Thanks - it was just a false reading. I had the Joy Cons attached to the tablet the whole time. For some reason as soon as I took them off the display went back to 100% !
